A 52-year-old male presents with complaints of gradual loss of vision in his left eye over the past year. He has no other complaints or symptoms and his medical history is reported as negative except for mild hypertension. Blood pressure is 120/70. Best corrected visual acuity is 20/20 right eye and Counting Fingers at 5 feet left eye. IOPs are normal at 11mmHg right and 15mmHg left. Anterior segment examination is normal with the exception of 1+ nuclear sclerotic cataracts. Posterior segment examination is as seen in these photos. What could be happening?

Coat’s disease is never possible at this age it is common at age of 11 years usually boys
While it is true that Coats disease is “most commonly” found in males aged 8-16 years, there are definitely cases that occur in adults and these have been well documented in published literature.
